- The expertise of the company Rota Guido, which presents itself on foreign markets joining the forces of the whole chain.
- A strategic vision in line with the new approach of CremonaFiere which is oriented to the co-marketing with exhibitors to reach increasingly ambitious goals.
Alberto Rota, chairman of Confindustria Piacenza is developing a project of aggregation on national scale. In particular he is planning to structure more efficiently the agro-zootechnical chain and to create an Italian group able to compete with bigger international competitors.
This activity of networking draws inspiration from the activity of those “few multinational corporations currently holding an important market share” with the aim of presenting the Italian model as an excellent player all over the world. The project is being carried out thanks to the partnership established by “specialized companies spread all over Italy, motivated by the idea of defining complete production chain projects” explains Rota.
The up-coming events offering the opportunity to examine more closely the topic and the aims of the “Made in Italy agro-zootechnical chain” will be the exhibition of CremonaFiere about the opportunities delivered by bioeconomy (BioEnergy Italy, Green Chemistry Conference and Exhibition and Food Waste Management Conference, that will take place from April 20th to April 22nd, 2016) and Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions (October 26th – October 29th, 2016).
A PROJECT ON A GLOBAL SCALE. Alberto Rota, co-owner of the company Rota Guido srl of Fiorenzuola d’Arda (leader in the biogas sector and specialized in the design and manufacture of zootechnical structures) explains the origins of the action plan: “We realized the importance of this collective initiative when we were in Kenya to design, build and supply turnkey a farm equipped with renewable energies, completely self-sufficient in terms of energy and capable of producing every day about 30 thousand liters of milk, 1.2 tons of meat, 1 megawatt of energy from biomasses and 1.5 megawatt of energy produced by solar panels. The creation of a group representing the Italian model on international markets can be developed in several ways (consortia, company networks, temporary join ventures and so on), but the key element for competitiveness is transparency. According to circumstances it is possible that sometimes all the associated members will be involved, some others only some of them and in other cases only two of them. Response time must be identical for all, and the management of offers must be balanced. If one of the members makes an incorrect offer, the whole operation could be damaged: that’s why teamwork is fundamental”.
INNOVATION AND INTERNATIONALIZATION
As to innovation, the research activity carried out by Rota Guido Srl is following two directions, as Alberto Rota explains: “we aim at enhancing the ability to manage more efficiently the slurry produced by livestock farms and at the same time we aim at standardizing milk production through a global control of companies parameters: from animal welfare (fundamental to achieve good results) to the monitoring of farm micro-climate conditions”. As to internationalization, Rota says: “It is necessary to face new markets not with a ‘hit and run’ approach, but with the aim and the capability of showing that the company Rota Guido and its partners focus on the operators working in the customer company. This doesn’t only involve the selling of quality products, installation and education, but also training activities and support to the customers, so that they can derive the maximum advantage from their animals’ performance”.
